Nick Cave Stories is an insightful book delving into the imagination of and inspiration behind iconic musician, Nick Cave. This limited edition compilation draws from over 800 items personally donated to the Arts Centre’s Performing Arts Collection by Nick Cave. The book takes you behind the music to discover the sources of Nick’s unique vision through original lyrics, notebooks, artwork and photography and will take you on a playful journey through his connection with Melbourne, London, Berlin, Sao Paulo and Brighton, England. The many phases of Nick's career are also covered including his work with The Boys Next Door, The Birthday Party, The Bad Seeds and Grinderman.

Nick Cave Stories was originally published to coincide with Nick Cave: The Exhibition which opened at the Arts Centre, Melbourne in 2007 and closed in November 2009 after travelling to Queensland, Western Australia and Canberra.
