Drawn, Worn and Reborn
True Colours, 1980
Polyester viscose, jersey and polyester silk
Designed by Noel Crombie

This set of costumes, close to fashionable street wear, reflect the influence of 1960s fashion and incorporate some military details including epaulets and braided trims.

At this time Crombie developed what he later called the ‘mix and match’ concept of costuming for the band. He created a range of costumes on a single theme, with several additional pieces so no group member was locked into a specific costume combination.
